There is no need to comment on the names of today's movies. Yes, today's article is about the Assamese film Rajniti- 1 which is currently running in theaters across the country as well as in Assam. The film was seen at the premiere show held in December The film is directed by Manojit Sharma and written by Abhijit Bhattacharya. The film stars Tapan Das, Zubeen Garg, Barsharani Biswas, Rajiv Goswami, and many other popular actors.
The film begins with slight storytelling in the background and background music that matches the exciting, exciting racing scenes. The film is a fast-paced story and the heroic debut of Zubeen Garg, who plays the role of a journalist (Arindam) with the army. Both the events and dynamics move in parallel, although these events and dynamics prevented the establishment of the direction in which the main story was moving. Where doesn't politics live? Politics is hidden not only in party politics but in almost every other field, including relationships.
This is basically what the film is trying to say. The inner ugly nature of political parties, leaders, power, etc. has been exposed. The character choices and some strong dialogues are two nice aspects. In the middle part, Tapan Das recites a beautiful poem about politics and democracy. I must also mention the work of photography. Pradeep Daimari's lighting work is of a high standard both technically and aesthetically. The camera angle is commendable as the situation demands as well as the proper visualization of the natural beauty.

In the middle part of the conversation between Rajiv Goswami and Barsharani Biswas, the presentation of the distinction between rich and poor remains very old-fashioned. There was also a subsequent interview between the Chief Minister and Barsharani Biswas (Ragini) that had a shadow of Anil Kapoor's hit Hindi film Nayak, even the behavior of the Chief Minister's assistant. However, the director has managed to present it in a new way. The editing is also good.
The above-mentioned weaknesses of the storyteller are the inability to establish the message of the main story at the beginning and the later stages. In the meantime, the scene of the hero beating the heroine in public for the heroine in heroic films is equally outdated. The lighting, music, and costumes are all used to give an appropriate sensory dimension to the old love of the Chief Minister (Dibakar) to show the past.
In terms of acting, I must mention Tapan Das and Barsharani Biswas. Both shine maturely with their own acting styles. To bring out the natural actor, it is enough to let him remain Zubin Garg, as he pleases, he was in Dinbandhu. There is nothing wrong with a smile, but it is also a smile that is not a smile. The music arrangement by Tarali Sharma and Jayant Kakati is good overall.
However, the ending of the film was not acceptable. In other words, it is unacceptable that such a corrupt, low-minded Chief Minister should abandon his entire long-term position for the emotional words of his only friend. This confined the film's potential to be a social message to personal grievances. It is an expensive and entertaining, business-oriented film to watch. There is no need for such commercial, entertaining, and technologically advanced Assamese films.
